Nature du travail :
Le développement de l’étudiant(e) se fera par le biais de mandats de type projet. Sous la supervision et le mentorat d’un membre sénior de l’équipe technique, ses responsabilités principales incluront notamment :

- Assister à la conception d’alimentations à découpage et de circuits électroniques auxiliaires pour alimenter les DEL (Diodes électro-luminescentes) pour diverses applications en éclairage, illumination et signalisation;

- Effectuer des essais et des mesures sur les circuits électroniques conformément aux normes requises (Tests de validation, Compatibilité électro-magnétique, température, fiabilité, etc.);

- Effectuer de l’analyse de circuits et du dépannage;

- Mesurer les propriétés électriques des signaux, effectuer les corrections nécessaires (au besoin), tirer les conclusions finales;

- Relâcher les listes de pièces, vérifier les fichiers Gerbers, commander les composantes électroniques et construire des prototypes;

- S’assurer de bien comprendre le projet, ses buts et ses impacts sur les produits, les coûts, les fournisseurs, les travailleurs d’usine, etc.;

- Planifier les actions en respectant les contraintes de temps, coûts, disponibilité, etc.;

The Position:
The EEDP Internship is a direct pipeline into the EEDP Program.

Reporting to a Design Manager, this position provides an excellent opportunity for a 2nd or 3rd year and graduating engineering intern to partner with our technical team in developing her or his skills at Solid State lighting product development.

Nature of work:
The student’s development will occur through project-based assignments. Under the supervision and mentoring of a senior technical team member, her/his key areas of responsibility will include:

- Helping design switching power supplies and auxiliary electronic circuits to drive LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) for various signaling, illumination and lighting applications;

- Performing exhaustive testing and measurements of electronic circuits to comply to specifications (validations tests, EMI, temperature, reliability, etc.);

- Performing circuit analysis and troubleshooting;

- Measuring electrical properties of signals, making corrections as required, drawing final conclusions;

- Releasing part lists, verifying Gerber files, ordering electronic components and building prototypes;

- Gaining thorough understanding of the project, its goals and its impacts on products, costs, suppliers, assembly workers, etc;

- Planning for action given time, costs, availability and other constraints;

- Coordinating, overseeing and participating as required with internal and external partners to ensure project completion according to plan;

Role Summary/Purpose: Responsible for the delivery of multiple wing-to-wing processes or a large complex HR process through effective relationships with the internal and external suppliers that administer the process. The Position:
EEDP is an intensive program for people who have a passion for technology, a drive for technical excellence, and share in GE'S core values. The program is designed to accelerate participants' professional development through intense technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Edison graduates have the technical and business foundation to proactively and continually make innovative contributions to GE's future.
EEDP is a two- to three-year entry-level program consisting of three or more rotational assignments. Rotational assignments are engineering projects driven by real GE business priorities. The program cultivates technical problem-solving skills via advanced engineering coursework, formal reports and presentations to senior leadership, in addition to valuable work experience. Participants have the opportunity to earn credit towards an M.S. degree in engineering or other real world application technologies.
